Meet Leslie Narahara

Professional Organizer & Move Support Specialist

I was born and raised in Reading, Mass., and decided to stay here to raise my own family. I’m so happy my kids grew up so close to their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

My career has been in Human Resources. I’ve had to keep lots of information organized on all my employees in order to make their personal and work lives flow easily. It’s not unlike organizing a household. I make sure resources are in place and deadlines are met so people seamlessly get paid and have medical information and other information to live their lives with less stress and disruption.

I have always been organized. I shared a room with an older, very messy sister growing up. I used to lie in bed and look at the stuff spilling out from under her bed. At a very young age I would pull everything out and sort and place things in an orderly fashion. In high school my friends used to pay me to clean and organize their rooms. At the time the going rate was 50 cents!

What I love most about this job is being able to step in when someone feels overwhelmed and help them find order and relief. I’ve learned that moving and organizing doesn’t come naturally to everyone, so assisting them by doing something that gives me great satisfaction is a win-win!

I like to put everything into view, group similar items, and help clients decide what to keep, donate, or sell. Seeing it all laid out helps me and the client get a better sense of how big their project is, and makes it feel less daunting.

I’ve always had a special connection with animals (especially dogs) and I enjoy kids. I also enjoy walking the beach, spending time with my own kids, and for the past 25 years getting away to Vermont in the summer. My friends would describe me as loyal, empathetic, and funny. I’d like to think they’re right!
